Not-so-nice Duh^Knees just clambered out of bed. Not-so-nice Duh^knees is not so nice because she just woke up from a 3 hour nap instead of doing work, because the P in PMS is no longer PRE anymore, hence stomach cramps. (On a slightly more relieved note, that would explain bloated feeling and weight gain (= water retention) for the past 3 days or so) On a neutral note, she did okay for the major Euro assignment. B. B is... okay. Wish it carried a bit more weightage because I know I'm going to screw the exam. Coffee then work. * You know, it REALLY got on my nerves today when my Euro lecturer went ON and ON about the demerits of the Singapore political system. Now, I'm by no means exceptionally patriotic. My stand is "Hey, whatever works." I've been properly de-politicised, yes. But my point is this, I'm de-politicised because the system is working for me, and dare I say, quite a number of other people as well. It really irked me when he found it absolutely necessary to slip in little derisive, sarcasm-laden comments about the lack of freedoms in Singapore. It wouldn't have been so grating on the ears had he just ranted on about it, but while he was lecturing about post WWII and the Cold War, he sneaked in such remarks about 5 times at the very least. Example: While talking about how governments stepped in more to regulate the workings of the economy etc post WWII, (therefore less democracy), he said something like "Now, this sounds familiar..." Snide remarks like that. For your information, this seemingly highly oppressed country is paying you good money to educate its students so quit whining already. If it bugs you so much, go back to your democratic United States (which may I add, is about to unleash mayham on Iraq and drag the rest of the world down with it). I didn't mean to get emotional but I mean, honestly.
