Seiyu was having this mega sale yesterday where (for once) EVERYTHING and I mean, EVERYTHING was a whopping 20% off. I salvaged two skirts and two tops from the Clothes Publisher bargain bin (Ack, don't laugh, you, I'm honing my Ah Soh skills for the day that I rummage through $0.50 undergarment bins in Clementi. *goes into hysterics*), and got the 2 skirts and one of the tops after trying them all. That shopping spree only cost me $50, not bad for the whole haul. I've finally accepted that I could fit no more into the M sizes for Clothes Publisher's tops and settled for the L. At least the M skirt sizes fit perfectly, and one of them was this cute little pleated number I've been meaning to get for some time. So yes, all in all, you're looking at a very happy little beaming girl. The whole point of the trip down to Bugis was to look for Johnny the Homicidal Maniac comics to send down to KM in time for her b'day, but I realised that she'd already bought the compiled Director's Cut. I think I'll get her Squee's Wonderful Big Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors instead. So I'd have to make another trip down to the comic shop, and display my blithering ignorance yet again. (Honestly, these comic-mad people are such as elitist bunch) Not to mention, I'm broke now after yesterday's spree. I'm such a bum! There's no way I'm going to ace my next philosophy paper, the only subject that really matters to me. And I've got a major F&H essay due which I haven't started thinking about. Sigh. Am going to quit the grousing now and get productive. The shopping bug still hasn't gone away and I'm still itching to shop. Twitchy, twitchy. If I had my way (and about a thousand bucks to spare), I'd buy books, clothes and CDs, in that order. There's a CD I'm dying to get though, one of the Stan Getz/Astrud Gilberto ones. KM, at least, should be happy that I'm attempting to refine my musical tastes somewhat.
