's strange how I crave routine when I don't have one, and hate it the moment I do have one.

At least I'm not a maudlin mess of unidentfiable mush these days.

My life only has a few simple aspects to it: schoolwork, friends, family. The things that give me pleasure are good food, good music. I wish I had the 5th Harry Potter book in my hands now, and me, sitting in some nice cafe with excellent coffee and dessert, whiling all the time away like it was really mine to waste.

I know how you feel. If only we could reconcile that with ourselves, we wouldn't have to feel so terrible about eating or putting on weight all the time. I hope I haven't gone up one dress size, I just tried on a size 12 pair of pants in this boutique in Scotts and it fit. I'm normally a 10. Sigh. I've been running everyday, but I'm too much of an emotional eater to give up food.

I'm thinking of staying in one of the halls next year, but HY thinks I'll hate it. She's probably right.

So you want to be an NUS girl? Requirements:
-Long hair. Make sure it's dyed an appropriate shade of brown/golden. Rebonded? Better still.
-A 24-inch waist. Must fit into teeny weeny size S-es, or UK size 6.
-Must own at least 5 pieces of clothing from MNG. From all their collections and catalogues.
-When on the MRT/bus, have your head perpetually buried in a thick book, or a respectably big pile of notes. (Applies to guys, as well.)

Jealous? ME? Just because I don't have a 24-inch waist and long silky hair? NEVER!

Read about this band which Dave Grohl played drums for, Queens of the Stone Age, I checked them out and (careful, am about to launch into poseur punkass-chick made), they rawwwwwk! haha. They're noisy and fun without being angsty. I see another $40 going, but I honestly don't mind supporting deserving bands.
