An update on my academic situation: Math isnt as bad as I thought it'd be. Been doing JC papers (albeit the easier ones) and they're really quite do-able. Feedback from friends from other JCs - AJ's math paper is 'killer' and 'crazy', so I've concluded that the B or even the A is within my reach. I just need to brush up on a few topics and concepts (like integration) and I'm set. Lit: No time to read all the texts once thru (and I've no idea where my Rape pf the Lock's gone, disappeared under an avalance of other papers and things on my desk, damn), have decided to follow Mr. Roberts' advice and just do essay outlines from now til the A levels, I will learn quotes (which is my main problem, actually) when referring to text for specific details. Econs: Am extremely afraid for essay and data response. Doing MCQs like there's no tomorrow and hope that I consistently get 30 and above. Trying to mug up just the facts for the topics I've chosen for essay, am aware that application of info is extremely difficult and is a skill that I haven't grasped yet. Therefore, hope to do it the old-fashioned rote-learning way and hope that I'll scrape thru somehow. GP: Frantically reading Newsweek and forming opinions of my own about various political situations around me so that I may effectively do politics-type question for essay. Wondering if I should start practising GP comprehensions just to get the hang of it once more. (Though some stupid pride thing is me refuses to believe that I have to practise.) Just hoping for the best that my ability and a little luck will see me thru for this subject. Wont be upset with a B3. I'm hoping for ABB and an A2, but I'll settle for BBB because lit is so ultra subjective.
